    Right-wingers' claims about being interested in the "family values" stuff.  "Thou doest protesteth too much" is getting to be more and more of a indication of transferrence by that group.

      not matter, this won't.  The real problem with their "family values" is that they exclude many people from the definition of family and see only a small, very limited defintion of what "values" are.  

      Hypicrosy is everywhere.  It's not Republican or Democrat.  So saying "look they are hypocrites" usually has little impact.  Confronting them on the merits and showing how, even if they live up to their "values," the "values" are mean-spirited and harmful, workls better.  GLBT rights did not get expanded because some fundi preachers were gay; they got expanded because many heteros got to know GLBTers among familly of friends, and excluding real people felt wrong to them.
