    It should be obvious to you that when a racist Southerner says, "Grandpa sure does love his fried chicken" -- that's an affectionate tribute to his Grandpa for being a genuine, down home, unaffected guy who enjoys traditional home cooked meals with his family.  Salt of the earth.

    When the same racist says, "Those people sure do looooove their fried chicken..."  -- that means that black people are greedy, obsessed with food, totally lacking in refinement, and just generally laughable.

    Same food.  Different tone of voice.  Don't you understand anything?

    How many Southern whites don't like watermelon? Judging by the pot luck picknics I've been to, very few. Very few. Watermelon is only laughable when black people are eating it.

    But I have to say that I haven't heard watermelon jokes from southern whites I actually know in years and years.  This clown out in Montana is giving racists a bad name for stupid.
