    what?

if i'm understanding you correctly you think it was OK for this woman to repeatedly kowingly break the law because she only made 11.xx an hour and claims she didn't have enough money for food.

i'm sorry, but does that mean anyone without a loaf of bread should be able to steal part of yours? what about squat in your house?

as I said, theft is theft, she stole, she knew it was against the law, she kept doing it, now she's facing the consequences. i think WM is going a little overboard, but stealing is stealing.

      Have you ever considered that?

or just stealing from big companies?

what about just stealing from those richer than you?

i mean come on. i get the point you're trying to make, that the woman stole because she was hungry. if she did it once, fine, twice I understand, hell, even three time and i'd get it. but for years on end, nope sorry, no sympathy

what I would do is bring it back so I don't have to fend off beggars every day.

          Torah: Leviticus 19:9-10

And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very corners of your field, nor shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest. And you shall not glean your vineyard, nor shall you gather every grape of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the poor and stranger; I am the Lord your God. (Leviticus 19:9-10) (Note: To glean is to gather the remains of the harvest left after the reapers collect)

you're OK with people stealing as long as the person they're stealing from is richer than them and not you. got it.

just remember that when someone breaks into your home and steals your stuff.

You can't can't argue with someone who thinks laws should be selectively applied at their whim, so i'm done here.

I'm saying we know what causes petty theft. Poverty. And if everyone does their fair share we don't have to deal with the consequences.

a dying relative. she wasn't even stealing healthy food like apples or meats to cook at home. or clothes during winter.

                she was stealing oreos.

this was not a crime of need or poverty, it was a crime of petty theft. and it wasn't just once where she could say "we were in a bad place, we had an unexpected bill, i just couldn't afford food this week". it was a years long trend where she decided to STEAL to have treats at work.

i'm sorry, but while i agree that WM does some unspeakable things and should be punished as such, this woman is nothing but a criminal who should be treated as such. Maybe not a felony level criminal, but a criminal.
