I told the staffer at Pence's office that I'm offended by his support of this atrocious bill. I asked her if she would submit to this if she required such a drug.  She declined to comment (and sounded peeved that I'd ask such a thing).  So I then asked if Gov. Pence would support legislation requiring men to have rectal probes for Viagra prescriptions (to make sure they're healthy enough to use it) and she wouldn't comment on that either.  Go figure.

Then I moved on to Sen. Earline Rogers office.  She's my Senator.  I registered my opinion on this bill as insulted & offended, and my hope she fights to oppose it.

Finally, I called Idiot Holdman's office. It was a call service and the lady who took my message was chuckling through my comments - especially the part about wondering if Holdman would propose the companion legislation for men.  It dawned on me she might not be aware of the text of the bill I was referring to, so I filled her in.  Her knee-jerk reaction was a 'No way!', meaning she was surprised someone wanted to actually DO this to women.  I also had her note that although I don't live in Holdman's district, I do have a phone and the ability to call folks who do live there.  My last suggestion was that he might want to re-consider using Richard Mourdock's playbook when it comes to women's issues.

It's days like these that I wish Hoosiers had the ability to get a referendum on the ballot via petition so we had some sort of recourse to oppose this kind of nonsense.  I'm sooooo tired of the wingnuts having all the say in our state.

No, I will NOT sit down or shut up...but, thanks for askin'!
