  •  Nope - only if these owners cannot securely keep (0+ / 0-)

and store their firearms.  In the case that they can't (as in this diary) we have to wonder if they really should have any guns at all?

Then they came for me - and by that time there was nobody left to speak up.

    •  Well, how about we have public disclosure (0+ / 0-)

of those whom do get denied the right?  Then we know if there are people near me with mental illnesses, criminal convictions AND can be easy targets for thieves.

And in your world, where does the 4th Amendment fit in here?  How does the State verify that a person exercising said right has them secure?  I lock my doors and windows when I'm out. Can my insurance company deny a claim when I'm broken into?  You've justified denial of insurance claims, wonderful, the 1% must love you.

"Well, Mrs. Smith, you didn't have your home secure with battle hardened steel and the latest high tech equipment, therefore we must deny your claim."

You see I believe having my doors locked is ample evidence that my belongings are secure when I leave, whatever those belongings may be.

If you take the position that my home isn't secure by locking the doors and windows, then you must also admit that people wanting to exercise this right are actually justified.

      Cognitive dissonance.

-7.62; -5.95 The scientists of today think deeply instead of clearly. One must be sane to think clearly, but one can think deeply and be quite insane.~Tesla
