because I don't know what NSFW means?

Why doesn't DK have an acronym glossary?

Maybe I'm too naive to join your Group "SEX," Horace.

Although, when I told my mom and dad that I was pregnant with my son, I am not the one who said "HOW IN THE WORLD DID THAT HAPPEN?!?!?"

Or maybe they just wanted to be sure my husband was the father, considering we had one of his AF buddies as a housemate and also my high school aged brother-in-law (he was gay, and no, I did not try to "fix" him by tempting him - never even occurred to me, but maybe they thought so?)

My parents were born in the 1920's.  My father was fairly normal, with only some delusions about his little girl, but my mother - whoo boy!  She's the main reason I am really glad I had a son and not a daughter.  Trying to have "the talk" when I was 11 was the most embarrassing day of my life.  I still squirm thinking about it - I know I would have totally botched it, if I had a girl.  I had to have the talk with my son, before his dad tried it.

His dad is something of a jerk - I may be naive, but I'm not an idiot whose sole goal in life is to get naked with every person I meet on the street.  I was glad when he finally grew up (at 45) and stopped girlfriend / fiancee / wife hopping.  We laugh about it now (at family events where we still bump into each other), but sometimes I wonder what the hell was I thinking?  I know what I was thinking - I had my mother's mindset in high school - you're nothing if you're not some guy's girlfriend or wife - who needs college?  Wish I had grown out of that faster than I did, but then again, I wouldn't have my wonderful kid, so I guess he's the reward for my youthful illusions / delusions.

      Not Safe for Work.

It's normally tagged on many things on the internet so that you know not to click them in order to stay on the good side of your IT staff

      •  LOL! Thanks! (3+ / 0-)

My IT staff is one guy in Connecticut and my office in Miami is the only one with free-roaming web, because all 5 of the big cheeses work in my office.

We're allowed to go pretty much anywhere we want to - even Facebook during the day.  I have my XM radio online playing while I'm working (listening to LEFT or MSNBC) and I read DK at lunch break.  But yeah, there are some places I wouldn't want on my screen if one of them walks in to talk to me.  Fortunately, the back of my monitor faces my window so they can't see from the hallway what I'm doing.

The reverse is not true, as all of their monitors are against the wall and they sit with their backs to the interior window, so I sometimes get an eyeful if one of them sends a dirty joke video to the other (1 sister, 4 brothers - one of the boys - who should know better at 50 - is particularly bad about it and he's got a whacking big monitor that I can clearly see from 20 feet away while sitting at my desk).
