  •  well, sorta? if travel is "forbidden" at least (5+ / 0-)

there's much less traffic to deal with.

Hmm, after MA snow, what level of "forbidden" are you likely to get in OK?

And if the authorities do go draconian, do you get some kind of "official" "pass" from work to show the cops if they stop you on the way to work?

I'll have my fingers crossed for "warmer than expected" over Monday night!

Well at least you have a bright sunny afternoon at the moment (or Will Rogers does!). Yeah, looks like Wed AM could be fun too, with 26 expected o'nite. (NOAA lets me spy on yr weather forecast, 8-)

Yes, hope you have a nice afternoon; we also are having sunny blue sky at the moment, a break in the rain -- on our "day of rest"!! So I really don't WANT to go weeding or raking the very very last of the leaves... but all that is small jobs, so I can let them slide!

Sweetie is finding fabric cupboard re-model taking longer, as projects always do. We got all kin' musty smell from some of the fabric when we unloaded the first one to re-inforce the base. So, all of that is out in the kitchen & LR, some has been laundered & appears to be stinky-no-more, BUT!! the allergen level has gone WAY down in the bedroom! He's being able to get to sleep much better. (Also has been trying to cut back on decongestant and THAT also seems to be having a beneficial effect -- cut back on decongestant and congestion decreases? May mean his reaction to this decongestant is cycling through to "ineffective", oy!)

"real" work : a job where you wash your hands BEFORE you use the bathroom...

    •  I spent the afternoon in Choctaw (3+ / 0-)

      lecturing on tea.

It was 40*F when I started and 63*F when I finished.

Choctaw is an hour east of where I live.

In OK, where the most snow we usually get is 2 - 3", about 5" is enough to shut the city down.  My car can manage to bull its way through 7" of snow.  After that, I have to find some other way to get to work, which I hate doing.

Ice is different. A half inch to an inch will shut things down.
