any serious health issues other than poor eyesight (which is correlated with my high intelligence - guffaw) and annoying sinus issues (noses run in my family).

Really sorry to hear about the asthma....

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.

It basically disappeared around the time I went to college, though it left my lungs permanently unable to support foot racing.

What came later was ulcerative colitis, and that quite nearly killed me.  I've had that (mostly) corrected with surgery, but it's left me much poorer in stamina, and the steady, continuous decline in my income has left me living in places where outdoor exercise is hard to come by, and too much exercise causes more problems then it does good.  Kind of a teeter-totter balanced on a razor blade.  There are things I can do, though...I'm going to start a meditation and basic yoga class at work soon.
