      The very last words exchanged with my father in 1975 and with my mother in 1994 were "I love you" - "Ya, love you, too."  The words and voices echo in my mind through the decades and that is comforting.

      The first week was the worst and words, spoken or written, zoom in and out like a bad movie.  The only things I actually remember with any clarity were the hugs.  They felt solid and real.

      Time passed, of course, and now I have memories that make me smile whenever I look at old pictures..., which happens often, actually, since I do genealogy research and include photos with the data found in documents for each person.

      You have my condolences, woodtick, and I'm sending as many {{{Hugs to you and your family & friends who love your mother}}} as you want or need.

      May you always remember the love....
