He's well known and very well liked in Cuyahoga County.  Great speaker and very personable and I think he could take Kasich down.  We need high speed rail in this state and we were going to get it until Kasich won.  He has definitely toned it down since SB5 and I think SB5 organized the Dems in this state early and helped Obama win Ohio.  Kasich is trying to present himself as a moderate right now, but I think people are still very bitter about SB5.  His approval ratings are probably up because the economy is improving in Ohio faster than most states.  More because of the automotive industry and the Obama administration than because of anything Kasich has done but when people are happy they don't tend to disapprove of the incumbent.

Fitzgerald will be the nominee if Cordray doesn't run. He's doing the rubber-chicken circuit to get himself better known by the Dem activists outside NE Ohio.

I think part of the reason Strickland lost in 2010 was because of the criminal problems with the Dems in Cuyahoga County.  It suppressed turnout in a key democratic county.  Fitzgerald has done a fabulous job in cleaning that up.  I would campaign for him with as much energy as I did for President Obama if he ran.
