Im fairly new to this country, but wasn't there a Supreme Court ruling in the early 90s about undue burden on abortions? aren't laws like these (and those requiring transvaginal ultrasounds, or hospital-level building codes or admitting privileges in hospitals that won't grant them to you, etc etc) textbook definitions of undue burden?

why aren't the lower Courts striking them down? or why haven't we seen a new Supreme Court case challenging some of these idiocies?

SD has actually voted 2 previous laws out. It is typical of the GOP tactic. They scare, mislead people into voting for them and then when this kind of nonsense is the hidden price, voters sometimes get rid of the bill but not the lawmaker.

The undue burden ruling and ongoing attempts to get rid of it.

Getting rid of includes Scalia, of course.
