    It always has been, it always will be.

    That's the reason the Post was so devastating with Watergate.  It was coming from one of their own.  It would be like Fox News declaring George W. Bush was faking WMD evidence in 2001.

      Being a D.C. metro resident for 60 years, I remember the Post of the 60's and 70's. At that time they were most decidedly not Republican and could be counted on to go where the facts led them no matter what party was involved. Watergate, The Pentagon Papers and their unrelenting coverage of the Vietnam War with it's consequent coverage of its protests made it a top notch paper. The last thirty years?... not so much.
