so that I can listen without an extra device around 5pm to 7 pm EST, I would listen daily.

But the time slot is taken by another radio show I listen to (and won't give up). And I only listen in the car.

I don't have a great cell phone that has all the apps and stuff and I am not willing to buy one.

So, can I hear it at 5 pm on the radio somewhere in the DC area?

the podcasts from the Radio link on the Masthead.

Then you can listen at leisure.

I hope that the quality of debate will improve,
but I fear we will remain Democrats.

where to am I supposed to download the file to? I have not a laptop and no I-phone, I-pad or something like that?
I can't listen to it at work, I have to listen to other stuff. So, after I get home around 7 to 7:30 pm, am I supposed to download the whole two hours to my computer and sit in front of my computer to listen to the show? Whats the cheapest device I can buy to download it to and listen to it in my car?

I need this show playing in my car's radio. There is no other time where I can listen to 2 hours of chatting anywhere in my day other than on my trip from work home.

Tell me how I can do that. I am boycotting a second cell-phone in my household with which I could do that. It's too much money each month. And I save for a laptop, but a high-end one and I don't see me taking the laptop into my car and using it while driving.

I guess I am hopelessly old-fashioned, stubborn and ... oh well ... just a simple idiot that doesn't want to adapt to ... these darned devices you plug into your ear...

I have a SanDisk brand player that I have been using for 5 years for audiobooks.  It's a Sansa Fuze.

The various brands start at around $30.  You could download the show onto that and listen from the headphones while in your car.  Just a thought.

Everything is easy if you don't know what you're talking about.

you can get a headphone jack-to-tape converter, so that you can play an MP3 player through the stereo.

If the car's from the last decade, there should be a headphone jack on the stereo (labeled "AUX" or somesuch), and for that use a double-ended headphone cable (from an electronics or hardware store; should be ~$4). The audio quality is better that way anyway.

You can probably pick up a fairly good quality MP3 player (SanDisk, iPod, Zune, whatever), for cheap off of craigslist as well.

I'd recommend against headphones in the car — it's illegal to use both ears, and it's hard to hear with one ear.

Government and laws are the agreement we all make to secure everyone's freedom.
