here in the Delta too. Well until the "prescribed burn" in the Sherman Island Waterfowl Management Area went to hell. Saw the smoke about 3:30. By 4:30 I'm like whoa - now I can see flames. The waterfowl mgt. area is NOT part of Sherman Island proper. The islands west of Sherman are uninhabited and nobody wants to claim jurisdiction so if a fire happens - nothin' happens! Hubbie and his RWNJ BFF went to check it out. Not sure what "they" meant to do there. Hubbie reports that it was mostly overgrown with blackberries. Which make great pie and cobbler and also burn really really hot as the vines are full of oil. So anyway, if you are watching the news and they show shots and say Sherman Island  - they are incorrect!

if a habitat is flooded, the improvement for target fishes increases by an infinite percentage...because a habitat suitability index that is even a tiny fraction of 1 is still infinitely higher than zero, which is the suitability of dry land to fishes.

for the ground. Actually this will probably be news to share at word tomorrow.

New from Vallejo includes Brian coming back this afternoon from the store and running into a police road block on Sonoma Boulevard. He swears there was a reindeer being led off the road.

      •  Far too early in the year for reindeer stories! (2+ / 0-)

Costco just got the Halloween displays in last week.
