    Were I you, I'd add the tag: "empathy" to this lovely diary.  Thank you for sharing it, even after ten years, its message packs a wallop.

    Not event-related at all, though your explanations of the Buber concepts shed some interesting light on the discussions I've seen us have here about the number of Newtown victims/deaths and how people count.

    I find your thoughts on this subject to be very eye-opening when I think back to those conversations.  And even more discomforting for us concerned about gun violence to consider.

    (I think it also has applications for death penalty discussions).
