about unpasteurized milk is this: what happens when the anti-vaxer and the raw-milker happen to live in the same house with children?

If you know anything about microbiology, this is frightening.

Yes, raw milk is natural but so are mountain lions, polio, and TB.

Being anti-science doesn't get us anywhere.

    Hogs...communists; think about it.

It goes something like "I may not be able to string together two coherent sentences, but I have the special knowledge that will save you and if you join me then you can be saved and you will be special too."

And it's nice to have a cause, but now we see people like the "Doomsday Preppers" who have taken all their anxiety about the world and put it into a little mental box that they label "smallpox" or something.  Or the homeschooler parents who are convinced the UN is going to send the Chinese army to take their children to Agenda 21 concentration camps.  Or they may sound completely coherent until they start talking about "chemtrails" and HAARP.  This phenomenon is not limited to the right wing.

Like yogurt, conspiracy theories should have an expiration date.  After 200 years, the Illuminauti just aren't coming.

straw man, appeal to fear, appeal to pity, apophasis, begging the question
