      It was made back in the days before so many screenwriters got lazy, when more than a few knew how to create real characters having real conversations and living real lives, and when directors & studios thought these stories were worth telling.

      I've seen this movie a few times (my favorite scene is when they visit the old hotel where they honeymooned) but I never made the connection you did.  

      Thank you for helping me see a beloved old movie with new eyes.
