    ....than another demonstration of the disasters that "common sense" and "gut feelings" can lead to. It's "common sense" that businesses forced to raise the wages of their workers will lose money, and research and reasoning that demonstrates that they don't.

    Much of the time, "common sense" is no more than popular nonsense, and "gut feelings," like real guts, are full of shit.

      for some reason, people seem to think that while wages rise, purchasing power remains static.  It's interesting that this is considered common sense, because I don't think it is at all.
