  •  People keep buying them (3+ / 0-)

the price keeps going up, same with ammo, scarce and expensive.
Eventually everyone that wants one or two will have them, or they won't be able to afford it.
    It's called a bubble.

It's certainly a surge, but I wouldn't call a couple months buying binge a bubble.  Demand for "black guns" was picking up even before the renewed threat of the AWB, and "black guns" could be to rifles what semiautomatics were to handguns forty years ago.  Here's hoping.

since the scary black man took office. It's another game for rich people to play.
What's really funny is that it's all for nothing, since it's pretty clear a federal assault weapons ban won't pass the House or the Senate.

Yes, I keep forgetting.  If a gun flies off the shelf anywhere in the country, must be racism.  An AWB may not pass the House or Senate, but it certainly may and has passed in some state legislatures.  And the more people who own black guns, the less likely it is that any ban will pass anywhere else.  I fully support that.  You probably don't.  Too bad.

You've made your singular interest clear, I think everyone understands where you're coming from.

We demanded a plan to reduce gun violence. Now it's time to demand a vote.

it was designed by the Constitution. States can pass laws that may be different than federal laws but of course federal law is the supreme law of the land.
And if you haven't been paying attention to the fear mongering of the NRA since Obama's been elected, more power to you.
You know what they say at the NRA:

You keep any special interest group alive by nurturing the crisis atmosphere
