    is the way that they privatize the public square. I remember in the run up to the Iraq invasion two people were arrested at a Triangle mall in upstate New York for wearing a t-shirt that said "Give Peace a Chance."  
        The agora is now private property, patrolled by semi-literate thugs enforcing their arbitrary prejudices.  But hey, the wretched Food Court meals, the umpteenth teeny bopper outlet selling distressed jeans amidst ear-splitting music, the endless parking lot with its polluted runoff as well as its enshrinement of the auto-centric society, these all make it worth a visit.
