    who took a job as a BART train operator, then sued to circumvent the seniority system and be given Saturdays off in accordance with his religious beliefs.

    He lost in court -- basically the judge said he knew what the job entailed when he accepted it. It's not like making an accommodation such as allowing him to wear a yarmulke on the job (there are some Sikhs who work for Santa Clara VTA and they're allowed to wear their turbans along with their uniforms).
