  •  The UCLA is going to try to get information (10+ / 0-)

regarding the extent and type of militarization of our police.

Under Obama, they received 500 million in military grade weapons.

There's an article at huffpost today.

    Lots of very scary stuff.

It's easier to have a revolution, even a bloody one, when you're opponent isn't armed to the teeth.

helping corpratist hustlers like Cuomo and Murdoch disarm ordinary citizens with arbitrary and incremental firearms prohibitions.

We now live in a confirmed, corpratist, militarized police state with a track record of genocides and violent suppression . . . and Democrats are begging to give this same government complete monopoly on violence.

Meanwhile, the right-wingers are stockpiling weapons and ammo at a rate that rivals the DHS.

There might be a government somewhere that is the working person's friend. There might be a civil society to be found at the end of this conflict, but this government, and this society will simply crush and eat those who blindly trust it.

The whole decade needs an asterisk.
