  •  Boehner claimed Obama wants to destroy the GOP (12+ / 0-)

If only it were true. Instead he's is getting all flirty with the lunatics again. Can congressional Dems save him from himself?

This grand bargain shit sandwich must be stopped.

    •  Obama should want to destroy the GOP only to the (0+ / 0-)

extent that their members wanted to make him a one term President.  Victory has consequences!

There is no hell on earth appropriate enough for those who would promote the killing of another person, in the name of a god.

Much like me as a yound lad years ago, the president is much too prone to engaging in mischief when constantly hanging around the house. As my Dear Mother use to tell me as a lad, "get the hell out of the house and blow the stink off of you."

      Good Advice, Mom

Can I get a Grey Goose on the rocks over here?!

      •  Requesting air time is more appropriate methinks (0+ / 0-)

But that should have happened last week. Obama, unlike Bush, is reluctant to cut into network programming to educate the public on what's happening. Its not a town hall full of adoring supporters (with MSNBC and CNN showing two mins then cutting away) he needs to be talking directly to, it's people homes.

If Obama giving an uninterrupted speech during primetime has taught us anything, its that the watching public usually end up supporting what the president is saying by at least 60%. After last month's SOTU, Obama's approval rating rose to it's highest in 3 years, whereas the GOP had sunk to it's lowest.

        •  Hmm. Good Thought. (0+ / 0-)

Combination of the two would work nicely. First, teevee and then a road trip. Get him away from the beltway. Now that I think about it, he needs a secondary "White House" like many of the other presidents. Get him the hell out of town for several weeks and still run the country.

Congressional Democrats not making a noise, or even speaking up. Aren't they the ones who are reliably progressive?
