    Besides, Gary Peters held his traditionally Republican suburban district in 2010 even as Dems suffered there.

      that Peters' district at that time didn't include Detroit, and was quite a bit swingier than it is now.

      In fact, the only Democrat in the House who lost their seat that year was Schauer (Stupak retired), and even that, I would argue, was at least partly because he was probably a bit more liberal than his district was.
