    seeing the logic here, especially since Republicans have won 2 Senate races in Michigan in the past 42 years, and one of those was in 1994, and promptly lost as an incumbent in 2000. And if anything Michigan has been getting slightly more Democratic over the past decade, particularly the western part of the state, and the Detroit suburbs.
