pay for a week of White House tours (estimated at approximately $74K) to also pay for tuition assistance for a soldier?

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me and I'm sure they would LOVE to do what they can for the troops, right?

    •  TA cost a lot more (2+ / 0-)

Tuition Assistance cost the Army $373 million last year, and helped over 200,000 Regular Army, National Guard, and Army Reserve Soldiers take classes, get GED's, or gain certifications like Paramedics/Fire Fighters/Police Academies, etc.

I doubt that the pundit has that kind of cash to hand out.  Apparently neither does the Fed Gov.

Stupid question hour starts now and ends in five minutes.

      •  The tours cost $74K PER WEEK. The pundit (0+ / 0-)

is willing to pay for one week, not the entire year.

I am suggesting he pledge to pay for ONE  veteran's tuition assistance, not all veterans' TA.

By the way, I wouldn't sell these pundits too short.  Some of them are pulling in buckets of money, undeservedly so.
