myself, I am measuring the study on it's scientific methods as he reports it. And he's lame in how he reports it. He does not give enough details.
For example, he could have surveyed only 10 people for all we know. Not enough for things not to be effected by chance

There are many suburbs North of the city (and he said he lives near there, and he's in Cambridge and that's heading North.) that are Republican leaning rich suburbs, which is NOT a liberal cross section at all. He may live in one since he's at Harvard probably is quite "comfortable".

So some of us know Boston really well and the commuter rail ...it seems surprising for people to even notice 2 Hispanic guys on the commuter rail. It makes me curious HOW he found that....commuter rail very often has all different kinds of people on it. That's why I think he went during rush hour leaving one of the rich mostly White suburbs. This is, again HARDLY a cross section of liberals!

      to pelagicray's comment above?

And I still find it hard to believe that a quibble about methodology would cause the level of vitriol and mockery on sight in this diary and comments section, but I won't press the point.
