  •  Considering the Post didn't link to it. Cheap shot (0+ / 0-)

I haven't seen a single post denying that racism exists or even that folks are uncomfortable when newcomers move in.  A study validating this is one thing it's quite another to claim that this discomfort means 21st century "Blue voters" will suddenly start voting for the GOP on that basis.  We would have seen evidence of that pattern in 2000-2012  as the issue of immigration reform has been kicking around for quite some time, but nobody has come up with evidence that these documented cases of prejudice caused 21st century left leaning voters to move into the GOP tribe.

It took me about one minute to Google the researcher/author's name, find his web page listing the rest of his research with links to the papers—including this particular one. It took another few minutes to do a first quick reading of the key parts of the report. Maybe five minutes all told to find it was a not some fly by night crap but a study with support of the Malcolm Weiner Center for Social Policy at Harvard University and the Behavioral Laboratory in Social Sciences at Harvard University done by a reputable social scientist.

That, and I didn't write a "diary" on the subject.

You chose to spout before spending a few minutes fact checking and researching. You took a bunch of cheap shots at the author based on a little blurb just noting some conclusions without doing your homework. As a result you have a diary that contains quite a bit of pure crap rather than reasonable discussion of the research or its findings or how to deal with a real problem it reveals.

Keep writing, just do the basics of good writing research next time.

      •  You're the one rolling in it sorry. (0+ / 0-)

I stand by my dairy.  the editorial was the shit, not me.  The study could have been valid but other comments here lead me to believe the sample for the study skewed Right of Center making the conclusions drawn from it in the editorial laughably wrong.  The professor did not connect the dots, we're laughing because he failed in that regard.
