  •  More personal "evidence" of climate change (8+ / 0-)

I've worked part time at a golf course for 15 years in the Pacific NW.  We keep our own records of "frost delays"in our valley micro climate.  This is important  because when it's below 32 degrees you can't run heavy equipment across the greens, it will damage the grass.

For years, we averaged about 40 frost delays per winter/spring season.  This year, we've had 14.

That may seem like good news for the golf course, but what happens if it also means less rain, and we have to pump our lakes dry to water the course?

The course is converted farmland (surrounded by vinyards) and has three multi-acre former stock ponds.  The more important habitat may be the half-dozen seasonal  bogs where the native frogs' tadpoles mature early in the spring.

Orly, it isn't evidence just because you downloaded it from the internet.
