Along with the role and gender question seem to be pretty standard boilerplate demographic queries of the kind that go with almost any survey.

    •  It's a common question and especially so on (0+ / 0-)

political, social, and economic surveys but it struck me as odd that it was separate from the others and placed at the very end.  It caused me to ask myself, more so than I often do, why this would be revelant to the input.  If it had been toward the top with other demographics, I probably wouldn't have thought about it much.

More: Some men think the Earth is round, others think it flat; it is a matter capable of question. But if it is flat, will the King's command make it round? And if it is round, will the King's command flatten it?

      •  As presented in the diary (0+ / 0-)

It comes after other similar demographic q's - essentially what is your connection to BSA (parent, volunteer, former scout, etc.); and male/female.  Don't know why age is at the top as a seeming separate category.
