  •  Wow, the scolding is out full-force this morning! (7+ / 0-)

As the population gets more bold by the day, at what point does this nonsense cease to be a "mere hobby for a self-selected few"?

It is time to #Occupy Media.

    •  I'm going to call it a "Reverse Godwin" (0+ / 0-)

where someone wants to end the conversation by elevating a personage to the level of those who risked their lives to save Jewry in Nazi controlled territory, so that every analysis of what actually happened gets dismissed.

That's not even "gun control". It's more like "massacre control".

I have no desire to "Reverse Godwin" anything, although that sounds really analytical and neat and all.

I was simply pointing out that "consequences" are often not justifiable in and of themselves, and often serve to protect those in power and privilege perpretrating dispicable acts.  What has been revealed from the leaks make them justifiable, REGARDLESS of whether the act to release them was illegal or not.

I personally cannot even watch the entire video linked in this diary.  It is too disgusting, and to have to read defenses of this disgusting behavior in the guise of "broken law" or the "dangers of leaked confidential information" is EVEN MORE disgusting.  This man knew what would happen to him if he leaked the information, and he did it anyway.  If you would rather de facto defend the  acts revealed in these leaks by reveling in his impending incarceration, as some in these comments have done, or by dismissing any comparison to those who have put their lives and well being on the line for a greater good, then I am DAMN well proud not to be on the same side of history as you.

to justify it, you are part of the problem.

You're also cowardly. Sorry, I'm just calling it what it actually is. No box needed.
