  •  Why hasn't Obama done something about the DOJ? (2+ / 0-)

How does one defend their lack of action given all of the corruption?  Where is Eliott Spitzer when you need him?

I don't understand how the White House can possibly think that the DOJ's lack of indictments after the financial meltdown/mortgage crisis, the ten years of money laundering by HSBC and others is just going to be forgotten.

Many of us were so excited when Obama got elected in 2008 thinking that finally some of those who had been raping the American taxpayer with inflated, fraudulent/unnecessary contracts in the wars would be prosecuted and some of the monies recovered.  Then, nothing ...

Why isn't the DOJ going after corporations that shelter all of their US profits overseas to avoid paying taxes?  Of course these companies are doing better than ever.  They've figured out that they don't have to pay taxes if they grease the right wheels.

It's really hard to listen to the "entitlement reform" talk about safety net programs like Medicare, Medicaid and SS, when it should refer, more appropriately, to closing loopholes and shelters for corporations and individuals making millions and billions, not the elderly, disabled, disenfranchised, etc.

Why are the wealthiest bankers and corporations not being prosecuted for breaking the law?

Sadly, I only have 1 rec to give you (I wish I could give thousands).

The first time Holder actually got seriously involved in ANY of this was when it looked like some redistricting would cost Obama re-election.  Only THEN did Holder step in.

Otherwise, he's been ignoring corporate and financial industry crime and focusing like a laser beam on medical users of marijuana and whistleblowers.

Obama is in full agreement with what Holder is doing (actually, NOT doing) because he hasn't asked him to leave.  And that's really sad.

There already is class warfare in America. Unfortunately, the rich are winning.
