to hear of your struggle.  I do hope you come through to the other side of this with renewed optimism, hope and purpose.

As for me?  I'm in a similar pattern and for the first time in my nearly 50 year life, can say that I'm really fucking scared.

I've overcome the shock, that after 20 years as an RN, 3 of my past 5 employers have actively engaged in wage theft on an overt and massive level.  Complaining about it gets you fired. (even if you play along and pretend it's just payroll errors).

I'm also convinced, that my State DOL and DOH are perfunctory bureaucracies,  terrified of offending delicate corporate sensibilities.

At a time when I should be saving money for my children's education and my retirement, I'm actually contemplating graduate school, and about $50,000 of non dischargeable debt.  It's a huge risk.

But the reality is, I have no other option.  "Job hopping" is a common element in my field.  Having clinical expertise and reasonable judgement should be a huge plus, but in reality what they're looking for is an inexpensive recent graduate whom hasn't yet learned to advocate for themselves or Patients.
