    "Liberty-NOUN:
           1) a. The condition of being free from restriction or control.
               b. The right and power to act, believe, or express oneself in a manner of one's own choosing.
          2) Freedom from unjust or undue governmental control.
          3) A right or immunity to engage in certain actions without control or interference: the liberties protected by the Bill of Rights. "

    "UBC"
I was responding to your comment.
And the object of your ire, as made clear by your belief in repealing a Constitutional Amendment, is not only the "UBC"....but the Constitutional Amendment itself.
It is telling that you try to diminish your true aims.

"illusion of how liberal you are"
    Never mind my voting record.
Never mind my espousal of progressive economics.
Never mind my support of liberties for homosexuals (gay marriage) & women (abortion).
    Never mind my user name....
How, exactly is the supporting of, literally, "liberal gun laws", not 'liberal'?
It isn't a 'left vs right' issue. It is a 'rural vs urban' issue.

Those who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither.

The NRA does indeed support liberalizing gun laws!

      Well-done!

That makes you a libertarian re guns.

      •  Quote where the NRA said what I did.... (0+ / 0-)

or learn what 'talking point' means.

        "libertarian re guns"
As I don't want 're any liberty', including warrantless wiretaps, Gitmo & torture infringed on, I guess I am a 'libertarian re torture', 'libertarian re Gitmo', & a 'libertarian re warrantless wiretaps'
I also support a woman's right to choose. I guess that makes me a 'libertarian re abortion'.
Devastating argument. You must have really thought that one through.

There is a reason why your only justification for infringing on the liberties of innocent Americans for your irrational fears is either
        a) "NRA!"
        or
        b) "Bingo!"

Your distrust of your fellow citizens, your paranoid fear of American liberties & your dismissal of the Constitutional Amendment that protects them is so flimsy & unjustified that non sequiturs, ad hominems & guilt by association is all you have left.

Those who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither.

          It's all yours, FR.

New York has had gun restrictions for more than a hundred years, and still no confiscations! Imagine that?!

CCP holders walk around with their guns in New York - concealed.

And the vast majority of the public never has to see them, or be shot by them. Imagine that?!

          •  I trust my fellow citizens, which is why I'm (0+ / 0-)

not the one hysterically screaming to infringe on their liberties.

What other liberties do you shamelessly cringe in fear from? What other Constitutionally protected rights must be taken until you finally feel safe enough to not infringe on the rights of innocent Americans?

Just stick with "NRA!!!" and "Bingo!", that truly seems to be the best you can do
            How marvelous;)

I'll grant you one thing, FR - you're not paranoid for thinking I'm mocking you. Because I am! Mocking your daft repetition.

          •  'Ad hominem' has a definition. (0+ / 0-)

As you ignored the argument presented in order to argue against the presenter (wrongly, might I add), that fits the definition.

Words don't change because of your ignorance of their meanings.

            "Mocking your draft repetition"
Says the person whom simply types "Bingo".....and somehow thinks that makes someone else look silly.
'Self-awareness'--You may want to look into it.

Which argument have you presented in this diary frank?

              •  My arguments (with you) have fallen into two main (0+ / 0-)

                areas:
                1) Maintaining the liberties of innocent Americans.

                2) Maintaining the actual definitions of words.

Great job managing to take the contrary side on both those arguments.

Just stick with "Bingo!" & "NRA!".
Anything more substantive is beyond you.

                •  And all the innocent women, Frank? (0+ / 0-)

Do they waive their right to life when they happen to fall in love with a manipulative or angry man.

And later when they fall out of love with a man, who then decides to "accidentally" point a loaded gun at them? Can you acknowledge whether they have any rights at all?
