Sad to say, I know some people who are taking this VERY SERIOUSLY.  Too seriously.  Waaaay too seriously.

By the way, when I'm on the road, I tune in to any radio station that sounds interesting.  Or just plain crazy.  The crazies aren't hard to find.

This bullet-buying is serious stuff on nut bag radio.

    It's comedy gold.

These folks scare me. They have laughable ideas but they aren't laughing. And they are very heavily armed. And they live in your neighborhood and mine. And in the workplace and church and where you shop. They seem like everyday rational people until you stumble on a word or phrase that triggers this stuff. Very very scary. I cannot laugh at it anymore

He listens to this stuff in his truck as he drives from delivery to delivery. I haven't talked to him since and frankly I am a little worried about having him come for a visit after he got done screaming over the phone about "gun grabbers and the Nazis" It is funny but it is also frightening about how many are going over the edge ... taking up guns and killing randomly those who trip their switches.

My son was the one who defended Palin as being really smart. He also was the one who said that Obamacare was going to round me up and kill me. I laughed and rolled my eyes but he really believes this crap.  And that is beginning to make me reluctant to be in the same room as him since so much of the rhetoric is about eliminating liberals. Isn't that what good little believers did in Russian revolution and Germany (WW II) and Cambodia and ...  Children turning on parents. Cynically I see it as a way to get your inheritance while you are young... Probably why so many young people are attracted to libertarianism.

paranoia and their fear becomes so great that they start posing a real threat to their neighbors or family or coworkers.  They do scare me, especially those with all the attributes to become unhinged.

About guns is wanting to keep them out of the hands of criminals and the mentally ill. The problem is that there is always a first time for a criminal and a breaking point for the mentally ill. No one can tell who will be the one pushed over the edge.

so paranoid , they act on it.  And I am thinking that number could be growing and that would make them dangerous.  I worry about another McVeigh.
