      Sorry, but this sets my teeth on edge.

      #1 - it should be 'him and his wife" because it's a frigging object, not a subject.

      #2 it should be  'I think highly of him and his wife' assuming he is not talking about how often he thinks of Portman and Portman's wife.

      #3 - Who the hell cares, you ignorant jaffoff?
