What right do Cypriot depositors have to demand that the Germans bail out their banks? Because the Germans won't, you see that as this being Germany's fault? The fact is that Germany has been left holding the bag for this entire mess almost entirely on their own, and this gambit is simply their way of saying that the burden must be shared if we are to emerge from this. There is pain to go all around here. I'm not sure why a 10% loss is something people think is so unfair. Everyone chips in and maybe the ship gets righted. Nobody is escaping pain.

    •  They Haven't Demanded It (9+ / 0-)

Bank shareholders have demanded it, not depositors.

...American taxpayers because we all contributed to the national debt.

In fact, those same people should have a percentage of their bank accounts stolen as well.

If you think robbing the poor is good policy on any level, I doubt whether you are fighting on the right side.

Adequate health care should be a LEGAL RIGHT in the U.S without begging or bankruptcy. Until it is, we should not dare call our society civilized.

If you cannot argue the merits of your position, then it may be best to stand down.

And I am not judging you, just your seemingly Republican position on this outrage.

is not a rhetorical device; it makes you seem childish.
