    in the 30's in the usa by world war two

    the economic lift from wwii lasted until the '80's at least

    we may be "lucky" enough to avoid direct responsibility for wwiii's devastation because mother nature will do it for us

    a "cleansing" of civilization, one way or the other, seems more than likely

      ...that of post Depression/WW2 USA,  the New Deal to the Great Society,  and whatever subsequent measures taken to perfect and protect that legacy.

      Y'know,  all that stuff we've grown up with and taken for granted that people bled and died to achieve for us.
