Reince is dying to launch a high-tech manure spreader.  No matter how many bells and whistles he puts on it, its prime function will still be to spread s....t.

Now of course, if we can pass an immigration bill AND learn how to Tweet, why the sky is the limit as far as GOP chances in long as we let the newly admitted immigrants drive the spreaders.

Karl Rove's mystification at why Romney was losing Ohio is one of the best examples from the last election of "not clear on the concept."  Romney's team thought they had a magic lamp for election night....a technology system which would enable them to monitor voter turnout down to the polling place level and react in real time to assure turnout.

And on election night, the whole thing, poorly conceived, untested and massively complex, collapsed like a beached whale.

And yet Romney and Rove were convinced until well after the polls closed that they were going to be victorious.

And now, a quarter of a year after getting drubbed in the last major election which voters clearly demonstrated they viewed as a mandate on what course the nation should follow.....the GOP, having lost, insists its only problem is figuring out how to do a better job of spreading its message.....but it is still manure, and it still stinks in the moonlight.

Free markets would be a great idea, if markets were actually free.
