    I think it was explained elsewhere in the diary, but the amount of air, the angle the sun shines through it, and the amount (and type) of dust all add up to give you the color of sky, no matter what planet you are on.  When there is minimal dust in the air, the amount of air and the way and amount that if refracts light (the refractive index) determines the color of sky.

    Simple concept, but not easily explained without math, which I mostly have forgotten.

    I am not religious, and did NOT say I enjoyed sects.
