  •  But they thought 2010 was about THEM... (0+ / 0-)

Something they did RIGHT.  So they're going to try to do it again.

And they have an excuse for why 2012 didn't work out: Mitt Romney.  They also managed to keep the House.  So if they just do a better job of being like they were in 2010...

And in 2016, they don't have a viable candidate that they like or a message that will carry them.  And if we're really on the ball, we might be able to retake the House and fix the immense damage the Republicans have wrought since 2000.

Now, the REAL story about 2010 is that Citizen's United enabled serious amounts of money to be spent in state elections and the Dems were busy running away from Obamacare.  Since it was a redistricting year, the new GOP (or Teabagger in many cases) winners were able to cement themselves in place for a decade (possibly 2 in NC).  But that doesn't mean their sh*t doesn't stink.  In 2012, much of that became apparent, and by 2014 even moreso.  But they're not going to admit ANY of this until after the loss in 2016.

2016 is crucial for us because we'll have the power of incumbency in 2020 -- another redistricting year -- and finally a chance to fix the 7% advantage the Gerrymander has given the Republicans.

Hopefully by 2030 we'll be able to completely undo the GerryMander of 2010 that Citizens United (and a bunch of Billionaires) bought.

Happy little moron, Lucky little man.
I wish I was a moron, MY GOD, Perhaps I am!
