  •  NO, History/Science/Discovery are NOT Canadian- (14+ / 0-)

owned! just checked on Wiki, they are ALL American-owned & operated.

History, formerly known as The History Channel, is a US-based international satellite and cable TV channel owned by A&E Television Networks.
A&E Television Networks (Doing business as A+E Networks and formerly also known as AETN) is an American media company that owns a group of television channels available via cable & satellite in the US and abroad.
Science is an American cable, satellite and IPTV television channel owned by Discovery Communications.
Discovery Communications, Inc. (DCI; NASDAQ: DISCA, DISCB, and DISCK) is an American global mass media and entertainment company based in Silver Spring, Maryland
wondering where on earth you got such an impression? perhaps you are seeing a lot of Canadian-a in the credits? just because shows are made in Canada, doesn't mean the channels running them are Canadian owned!

will shoot down the theory that Canadians are trying to take over by making Americans so dumb they won't notice.

        •  Not necessarily. (0+ / 0-)

It's part of the plan.  By presenting a familiar figure in government to that in the US, the Canadians are going after those Americans who think "hey this doesn't seem right" when viewing the US politicians.  These Americans then see a figure like Harper and think..."well I guess it's okay if those nice Canadians also do the same things" ... all part of the master plot.

BTW so is expanding NHL to markets that have no business having ice rinks - Yeah I'm looking at you Arizona!  And Florida!  And Texas!

The tar sands is another example of wooing the US into submission.

They beat the Flyers last night.  I'm not happy.

But since you mentioned that.  The attendance was awfully orange there don't you think?  We don't get that many Ranger fans in Philly and that is a mere 90 miles away - not that anyone would sell them tickets.

I'm not necessarily saying that there isn't support - c'mon who wouldn't support Stamkos (he would look good in orange) - just that the temperature doesn't support ice well.  Tampa and the warm weather rinks are listed as some of the worst ice surfaces going (aside from MSG but what do you expect when it is on the 5th floor.. or is it 8th?)

so I can't speak to the crowd make-up.

However we have solid attendance figures. Yes, we have lots of transplants so we do get a lot of Canadian and Northeast team fans at games.

Every time the Flyers lose angels get their wings!!

Tim Hortons now has over 600 US locations.

In the 90's and 00's Tim Hortons succeeded in taking control over the fast food chain Wendy's.  That is, until an American Patriot discovered this ploy and Wendy's was forced to separate.

So now it's Cold Stone Creamery - an actual better attempt since their creamy ice cream goodness will win over many Americans.  Oh sure they say it's a partnership but think about it...

And you will find Tim Hortons in the most interesting places: hospitals, universities, airports, military bases...

          I've said too much.

He may be known to us as Calgary Cruz, but he wasn't in Canada long enough to absorb Canadian values, much less the extremely secret Canadian tactics for taking over America.
