    In the Loving case, the trial judge pontificated from the bench about God having put the races on different continents for a reason -- they were not to marry. That was his interpretation of the Gospels.

    Sadly, many who have already "got theirs" do not see a parallel between what happened in Loving and the very same arguments that have been trotted out today. They say "how dare they equate that with this" and usually end up telling you that you have no choice what skin color you will have but gays can choose not to be gay.

    Ridiculous. But religion, as they interpret it, trumps fundamental rights for most of these people. The tide is turning but it is difficult to hear these same arguments that were made in Loving repeated.

    If you hate government, don't run for office in that government.
