    Background checks have vast approval in recent polls (91% if memory serves me).  If they were representing us, at a minimum, background checks would have flown through Congress.

    There already is class warfare in America. Unfortunately, the rich are winning.

      It's where the rubber meets the road.

      The American people are yanked this way and that, emotionally, by their tiny view of the world via Anglo-spin media. Polls taken during those times reflect the emotional reactions du jour.

      But when they show up at the polls, they vote the old fashioned way -- out of fear and hope.

      Americans who vote -- vote their hearts and minds. When I look at Congress, I see the true character of the American people.

        I see a bunch of corporately controlled puppets who are worried only about their next election and their next corporate paycheck (i.e. campaign contribution, etc).

        Democrats got 200,000 more votes than Republicans here in Wisconsin.  Because of gerrymandering, we sent a majority of Republican puppets to the House.  Similar in many other states.

        Votes don't count where gerrymandering rules.
