    If it were just corrupt, you could solve it with just honesty and courage. But the rules of the system prevent that. As long as you can only vote for one, effective voter choice is reduced to two options, usually the ones preselected by the rich and the media. Approval voting or other voting reform would fix that... and then we'd have just simple corruption and we'd need just a lot of honesty and courage and hard work todo overcome it.

    Senate rules which prevent any reform of the filibuster are unconstitutional. Therefore, we can rein in the filibuster tomorrow with 51 votes.

      Broken implies a much deeper "lostness."  Loss of morals, loss of community, loss of acting from a place of real knowledge, responsibility, and a life view that cares about the well being of others and the state of the physical world.
