  •  let's see... I have a post-it utility called (0+ / 0-)

"Stickies" for keeping short notes on my desktop. This is where I keep track of TV shows, movies, phone numbers, real misc.

My (Apple) mail program has a "Notes" section, and these notes can be put on my iPod, so I can take them with me. What missing magazine issues am I looking for; series info for books is a big one; images for things I'm collecting, etc.

We keep grocery lists on a sort of home-made portable mini-whiteboard. Teh hubban' keeps the budget in the computer; he's an accountant by training...

I used to keep notes on paper, but it got bulky, was hard to search amongst (reading ref.s), and I often would make notes and never go back to them. the desktop stickies work considerably better, although there's still a percentage of "oh I haven't seen that (note) in years!" 8-)

I have boxes and boxes of recipes and incunabula collected over the years. I'm currently tasked with sorting this mass so we don't have to move it, and part of that is finding as much of it as possible on-line... old paper is not good for people with dust, paper, & formaldehyde allergies ... woops, started this about 12 hrs ago & got distracted!

    winding up now!

"real" work : a job where you wash your hands BEFORE you use the bathroom...
