    weeds here. But I love the smell soooo much. Some places they are almost as thick as the tamarisk, and birds won't nest in them because of the thorns.

    I used to work at the VA hospital on Colorado Blvd and 9th in Denver. There were a bunch of huge Russian Olives at the University hospital right next door, and on my way to the bus I would walk as slowly as possible without missing it just to smell the heavenly scent of those trees. I don't know if they are still there - haven't been down there for many years.  Sounds like it will now be a development complex of grocery store, hotel and housing. I should get down there to see how much it's changed from the 80's when I worked there.
