He really packs a lot into this appearance tonight. I like how Dyson let him rip with a few very good refocusing questions.

you went way, way beyond the typical effort to inform people.

I was just thinking of typing out a few of the highlights from each segment (since I had already worked on 2 other posts earlier yesterday; but turned out just pulling together the clips was an effort for me, that I almost abandoned.)

But now we have the entire segments transcribed,
thanks to your creativity, dedication, and hard work.

That's rare to see these days, LG.

      Way to go!

      •  It does need an editor, there are a few nonsense (1+ / 0-)

errors in the speech translation. Do you have time to pull the comments together and format for each segment?

        I didn't do anything on segment 3.

        •  I've been pondering (0+ / 0-)

how to reuse your text ...?

          for example, his comment about

how many kids will it take Harry,  50? 500?

seems like that might make for a stand alone post,
          all on its own.

I re-used that quote, near the top of comments,
          this morning.

thanks again for the great resource LG,
I wish MSNBC were more consistent (and accurate) in how they did their transcripts.

They should hire a person for that chore, already.

          •  What I did was just a pretty raw capture. (1+ / 0-)

What I did was just a pretty raw capture. Some of the speech translation is nonsense words. And it definitely needs more paragraph breaks.
            How about this?

Do you have time to pull all of my transcript for segment 1 into a draft diary? You could headline it UNFINISHED - Segment 1, and put it in the group queue.

And then do the same for segment 2, UNFINISHED - Segment 2.

And then go through and mark where paragraph breaks should be.

I don't have time today to go through and listen and read and make corrections. As soon as I have time (possibly tomorrow) I'll go through and listen and read. If someone else has time to listen/read/proof it - they can work on it in as a draft in the queue.

What he said is profound and true and will need to be used again and again, until we can confront our cultural reality.
