    I'm just not imputing thought process into one man's heart based on the conduct of another.

    Maybe this pope will live up to the image he's projecting. It's up to him to do it.

      No, you've also said that we cannot tell what someone will do next, even if we examine their own ample history of action, and that of the organization that they spent their career in and just picked them to head it.

      You are saying that past performance is no predictor of future actions. Yet you don't give your wallet to a thief, but you do ask a cop for directions. The Catholic Church and Francis (as Bergoglio) have a far more distinct track record than the thieves and cops in your town.
