  •  If Pope Francis and Opus Dei (0+ / 0-)

arrive, can Dan Brown be far behind?

What little I've bothered to read about this guy is quite remarkable for the extremely high degree of PR whitewashing and sanitizing that's been applied. They must have someone really good, like Hill & Knowlton, on the job.

If you can sell tobacco, scientology and fracking, not to mention the war on Iraq, selling a seemingly inoffensive little guy in a white dress should be a snap.

    •  I'm sorry you know nothing about Opus Dei (1+ / 0-)

except for Dan Brown fiction. However the subject is just too extensive to give you a handful of references. That wouldn't be enough to do the subject justice.

that this guy is being sanitized by a PR full-court press, whether or not H&K is actually involved.

They are loading it on with a shovel. Probably hoping that all that "good" new stuff will obscure the older references about how he may have been complicit in some of the Argentine disappearances and how closely his comments on various personal-rights issues track his predecessor's.

I am, however, hopeful that the predecessor's red Prada pumps will someday show up on eBay.
